Yeast extract is a plant based versatile and nutritious high protein food. 

This product has a natural beef or chicken flavour and makes a great addition to dishes. It can be used in:

• Stocks, soups, sauces and gravies.
• Seasoning and savoury mixes.

It can also be sprinkled on anything that suits a beef-y or chicken-y taste.

Yeast extract is very strong so only a small amount is needed; Try a few granules on their own to gauge the flavour. We recommend starting with adding 1/2 teaspoon (2g) to 250ml in hot water and then adding more or less depending on desired taste.

Stock Powder

This product can be used in replacement of regular stock, which is a good thing because most supermarket stocks are full of other ingredients:

Yeast Extract vs Nutritional Yeast Flakes

Yeast extract is different to nutritional yeast flakes. Think of yeast extract as more of a powdered stock flavour. You could not just eat a straight spoon full of it because it's too strong - you need to mix the yeast extract powder into water or sprinkle it sparsely.

Nutritional yeast flakes are a savoury snack and can be eaten from the pack and sprinkled on meals. They are also high in protein and are a highly nutritious superfood.
